This is part two of five poems that’ll be included in my essay collection, ‘Notes on Uncommon Love.’ The collection will cover a few topics about love and relationships, whilst poetry and semi-fictional shorts will be scattered throughout. It’s been a rather fun project so far!
As for this poetical series, my main emphasis focuses on the long-lasting sentiment about the relationship I have with my fiancé, and how it makes me feel truly blessed. If you had told me over five years ago that I was finally going to meet someone who would be my partner, my love, my best friend, I wouldn’t have believed you. Not one bit. So in praise of my love, my luck and him, these are merely modern poems about the positivity of love in all its strangeness.
Thank you for taking the time to read it!
